Have you ever made a huge commitment to yourself? the kind that requires discipline, perseverance, and flexibility? I’m not quite talking getting a puppy. I am talking about shaping a habit. A beautifully creative habit. October was Inktober and there was so much mazing artwork that it inspired me to do my rewrite of Soulchaser as my NaNoWriMo project. I commited hard core, by making my $1 a day donation and ordering the Winner Shirt. They didn’t have the regular shirt.
I made this cover on Over iPhone app. the feather is something I drew myself. I added the trees from the app’s stock photos. I completed the Plot of Gold Outlining Challenge to prep for the (hopefully) final rewrite of Ariannai’s first story. I have a beautiful 50-page outline. I also purchased WordCounter, an app for Mac. It monitors multiple programs for word count. I write in several places a lot of times, depending on my mood.
Scrivener is my favorite app. You can get a FREE copy that will expire on Dec 7, 2017. It has its own word count and goal tracker. There are discounts for everyone (on the page linked above) and winners (50% off). I will give away my code. If you need it, please contact me.
Todo list to finish up my prep this month:
- plug outline into Aeon Timeline 2 (I just found a coupon code!)
- finish profile for Ublynis (nation)
- profile for Egrielia (nation)
- get emissions test for SUV
- figure out how much I actually need to write
- write thanksgiving story for the blog (lore)
- Halloween costumes for me and kids
- Buy registration for both vehicles
- laundry
- meal planning
- New bullet journal pages
- look at the calendar and set weekly goals accordingly
- birthday weekend
- girls weekend out
- Friendsgiving
- Thanksgiving week with parents here
Not all of it is directly involved with Soulchaser, but I have to get this done before the first. some of the household items are listed because, in 2015, there may have been some issues with the family getting a little annoyed with me.
November is a busy month for everyone. It was a hard choice to commit this year. I have to finish so I can wear that shirt I just bought. Are you doing NaNo this year? How much NaNoPrep do you do?
